All square: Chiefs 0-1 Sundowns

After a thrilling top of the table clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium on Thursday, look back at the action through our gallery.

Log leaders Chiefs stumbled against second-placed Sundowns, who walked away 1-0 victors and moved level on points with three rounds of games to go.

In a tightly contested affair that had supporters of both sides on the edge of their seats for 90-plus minutes, it was The Brazilians who can celebrate but it's still Amakhosi who hold the advantage.

The absence of Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro saw coach Ernst Middendorp opt for Lazarous Kambole to lead the frontline, while Khama Billiat was only introduced at half-time.

Coach Pitso Mosimane, meanwhile, deployed an attacking side in the first half to get their noses in front through Gaston Sirino, but switched their approach up to what many would consider to be 'parking the bus' in the second half.

Chiefs huffed and puffed but failed to break through the stubborn Sundowns defence, with Kennedy Mweene having to be at the top of his game to thwart the likes of Erick Mathoho, who was at times playing as a makeshift targetman.

The Soweto giants remain top of the table, albeit on goal difference, while the defending champions trail by just five goals heading into the final stretch of the title race.
