Three weeks later, the players have now returned to The Village, where they began life with a new technical team following the departure of Ernst Middendorp and Shaun Bartlett.

Hunt, who was thrown out by Premeiership newcomers Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila after they bought over Bidvest Wits, has now ushered in Amakhosi's new era with Dillon Sheppard and Arthur Zwane alongside him.

The four-time league winner will be looking to shake things up in Naturena and bring an end to the club's five-year trophy drought, which has seen them go through three different coaches already.

The 56-year-old got his first look at his charges at the weekend but it remains uncertain whether he will be able to go to the market to bring in new blood as Chiefs await the outcome of their transfer ban appeal with the CAS.
