Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is Chippa United’s longest-serving coach of them all?

Larsen was sacked on Sunday just 24 hours after Chippa suffered a 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium this past weekend.

The Chilli Boys are now in 13th position on the log standings, having drawn three and lost two of their opening five games this season.

However, with Mpengesi’s trigger-happy nature, it was to be expected that Larsen’s days were numbered – that having since been confirmed at 247, during which he was in charge of just 22 matches.

This ranks as the Port Elizabeth-based club’s second-longest-serving coach behind Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela, who served for an uninterrupted total of 402 days during which he was around for 39 games between 21 March 2016 and 27 April 2017.
