PICS: High spirits at log leaders' training

Kaizer Chiefs hosted a media open day on Wednesday at their training base in Naturena, where there was plenty of fun and laughs as they prepare for Polokwane City.

Spirits were high at the Chiefs Village, which is to be expected as they enjoy the fruits of their impressive start to the 2019/20 Absa Premiership campaign.

Amakhosi are currently unbeaten in the first four round of fixtures, having won three and drawn one to occupy top spot on the log standings.

With a squad at full health, coach Ernst Middendorp was also amongst the jokes as he was spotted in a light-hearted moment with senior members Itumeleng Khune and Willard Katsande.

The only absentee was Zimbabwean star Khama Billiat, who is set to return on Thursday from having saved The Warriors’ blushes in their preliminary round 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Somalia on Tuesday.

The Glamour Boys will return to action when they welcome Rise and Shine to the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h00), looking to maintain their position atop the table.
