Masehe hit the triple century mark in Stars’ 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates on Saturday evening at Goble Park.
He put in yet another 90-minute shift playing in central midfield.
The 34-year-old arrived in the PSL as far back as the 2002-03 season starting out as a speedy forward at Mamelodi Sundowns before switching over to Orlando Pirates. But with the demons of Gauteng threatening to wash away his career he then decided to head back home to the Free State.
Since returning home to Ea Lla Koto in 2008 he has managed to stabilise his career and grown to be an all-weather man, who has played as a striker, winger, midfielder and central defender.
‘The Horse’, as Masehe is also known, now doubles up as the captain at Stars where he is set to be offered a job within the club past his playing days.
Masehe now joins Hlompho Kekana, Morgan Gould, Moeneeb Josephs, Vuyo Mere, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Daine Klate on the list of players to have achieved this rare feat.
