The Limpopo side parted ways this week with Duncan Lechesa, who guided them to promotion.
And Schoeler, who arrived at City as a physical trainer, has been entrusted with the job in the interim, overseeing a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday night.
“I like coaching these players, because they listen to us and they accept our point of view but the management will decide who coaches the next game,” Schoeler said.
Schoeler, though, admits he has no coaching experience other than in the field of fitness.
“I come from Brazil and I have been a physical trainer for more than 10 years. I was a physical trainer at first division to third division teams. Very good clubs,” Schoeler adds.
Polokwane City are reportedly eyeing Ian Palmer to replace Lechesa.
