Mbesuma's son nets five in one game

Premiership

Collins Mbesuma represents one of the greatest goalscorers in the modern PSL era and his son Lineker, 13, is seemingly following in his footsteps.

Lineker is one of three sons of the former Kaizer Chiefs striker who is famed for a record-breaking 2004/05 season where he netted 25 league goals for the Soweto giants.

With the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winner spending, most of his career in South Africa, Lineker (13) and his two brothers Morientes (15) and Neymar (9) have all developed at PSL clubs.

And this past weekend Lineker, who left the now-defunct Bidvest Wits academy for TS Galaxy netted an incredible five goals in a 10-0 victory for the U-15 side.

"I'm happy about my son that also can score goals and I hope he will score more goals than me - but he's still very young and needs guidance," Mbesuma tells KickOff.com.

"He's 13 now and he started at SuperSport United, then Bidvest Wits, and now at TS Galaxy where Morientes and Neymar are also playing."

Mbesuma has scored 103 goals in the PSL after stints with Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Highlands Park.
