Despite recently saying he will return to Bloemfontein Celtic when pre-season starts, goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb is now heading to Port Elizabeth.
The Cameroonian shot stopper will join Chippa United, officially bringing his time in the Free State to an end after a successful career with Phunya Sele Sele.
The 34-year-old was fired by Celtic before the end of last season but was then recalled by the club not too long after that. The club tried to get him back and had hoped he would be back when pre-season gets underway, but will now join the Chilli Boys on a two-year contract, according to sources close to the club.
“Patrick Tingeyemb is joining Chippa United. He is set to sign two-year contract,” said the source.
Tingyemb has also confirmed that he is heading to Chippa ahead of the new campaign.
