Former South Africa under-20 coach Thabo Senong believes young star Luvuyo Phewa has all the attributes to succeed at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Phewa is amongst the new younger players Sundowns have signed in preparation for next season and the future beyond that.
The Real Kings midfielder was earlier linked with Orlando Pirates before being snatched by The Brazilians.
Senong, who worked with Phewa in the Amajita squad, is backing the 20-year-old to shine under the great technical team led by Pitso Mosimane.
"Luvuyo is a technically gifted and intelligent midfielder, he is a multi-functional midfielder and he is equally effective in all phases of the game – defending, attacking, transition and set-plays," Senong tells KickOff.com.
"We used him in advanced midfield areas and he did the job for us at the SA under-20 national team. He possesses a high anaerobic capacity that allows him to cover more ground during a match.

"He is good at delivering set-plays. He just needs to work on his finishing in the final third.
"He will be under a very progressive coaching staff at Mamelodi Sundowns. I am sure they will maintain his strengths and improve the rest.
"I'm very proud of his progress and I wish him success always," concludes the Lesotho national team head coach.
Phewa is set to join the list of other young players set to don the yellow jersey next season including Haashim Domingo and Grant Margeman.
George Maluleka and Lesedi Kapinga have already been unveiled at Sundowns' training camp in Rustenburg after being released by their clubs.
