Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has responded to Gavin Hunt's comments about "fishermen" coaches in the PSL.
Hunt recently urged South African clubs to be patient with their own coaches like Rhulani Mokwena and stop bringing in coaches with fake CVs to the country.
The Bidvest Wits coach praised Orlando Pirates for giving Mokwena a chance in an environment where PSL clubs often employ foreign coaches who are not necessarily better than what we already have.
Middendorp addressed the issue after Amakhosi's 2-0 win over Usuthu on Tuesday, saying people must focus on the game and not about the coach.
"It's not usual you know to talk about barbers, fishermen and whatever," he said.
"Let's talk about the game, the game facing the facts, what happens there in moments if you are in ball possession, if you are working against the ball, what happens in transition in both directions, that's what it is and the rest is something for the public."
Amakhosi are currently top of the Absa Premiership table after six matches with four wins, one draw and one loss, which is their best opening form in years.
