Maritzburg United coach Eric Tinkler has expressed his satisfaction about the squad and believes results will come as long as they keep on fighting.
Despite not recording a victory in their first two matches, the Team of Choice have shown some good improvement with exciting football.
Last Friday they drew 1-1 with Highlands Park at Harry Gwala Stadium and Tinkler said his players did not get what they deserved from the performance they produced.
"I feel for the players because I thought they worked their socks off," he said.
"We knew prior to the game that it would be tough, they are aggressive and play with a lot of intensity. Owen [Da Gama] is a firm believer in heavy conditioning on his players, and we contained them until that 93rd minute.
"It hurts losing two points, especially for the way the players performed."
Tinkler looked at the positive side for his team and is proud of the strong squad they have assembled, but admits only good results can justify that.
"I think so, like I said it before I look at both games from [Golden] Arrows to this one, I think we've got lots of strength. I look at my bench, they look good to me, I see a hell of a lot of positivity, but we are in the business of results so we will be judged by that.
"Our performances show that we had good pre-season. We will get better game by game, we were just unlucky."
