Tinkler expects Chiefs to want revenge

Maritzburg United have become one of those teams that have given Kaizer Chiefs tough times this season, and Eric Tinkler is aware of the danger of that.

The Team of Choice are the third team after Polokwane City and SuperSport United who have beaten high-flying Amakhosi this season in all competitions.

Tinkler says as much the team is in a good mood after beating Bidvest Wits on Wednesday night, against the Absa Premiership log leaders at FNB Stadium it won't be easy.

"The confidence and morale is high, the mood is good, which is what you want, but it's very important that there's a job to be done in what will be a very, very difficult game against Chiefs," he warns.

Tinkler believes Ernst Middendorp will have prepared specifically for his side as they don't want to see a repeat of the Telkom Knockout semi-final upset.

"We've had a good result against them of late, but they are going to be specially prepared against us and obviously we will have to up our game," he explains.

"Even more from our previous game that we played against them."

Maritzburg will see the return of Gabriel Nyoni, while Amakhosi's cup tormentor Judas Moseamedi will be assessed on whether he will be ready for the game.
