Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that Dumisani Zuma is set for rehabilitation following his appearance before a club disciplinary committee.

Zuma has been on suspension from all club activities pending an internal disciplinary hearing after being arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

The club has now confirmed that a hearing was held.

"A disciplinary hearing was held with the matter relating to Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Dumisani Zuma. An independent chairperson presided over the hearing process.

"Following the hearing and the recommendations made, Mr Dumisani Zuma will be disciplined in line with the company’s disciplinary code. He has been suspended from club activities and will attend rehabilitation," reads the statement from the club.

Zuma is into his fifth season at Chiefs after joining from Bloemfontein Celtic.

This term he is yet to play with injury having been cited as the reason while last season he scored just once and provided four assists in 19 appearances.

His last appearance was in May just before Gavin Hunt was sacked and he is yet to play under Stuart Baxter.
