OFFICIAL: Baroka relegated, Galaxy safe

Maritzburg United 1-0 Baroka

Baroka were automatically relegated after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala Stadium.

The sides went into the halftime break still goalless and Clayton Daniels eventually gave the Team of Choice the lead ten minutes into the second stanza.

With Swallows FC drawing with Kaizer Chiefs, Baroka needed to have secured maximum points to give their survival hopes a boost but it was not to be as they will be back in the second tier.

Chippa United 0-1 TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy survived relegation in their last match after a last-gasp 1-0 win over Chippa United on Saturday afternoon at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

After a tight first stanza, Spiwe Msimango netted what proved to be the winner for the Rockets in stoppage time.

Galaxy finish the season in 13th position, one point above the Chilli Boyz who saved their top-flight status last week.
