SuperSport United got back on the winning trail in the DStv Premiership with a 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy on Saturday afternoon.
The Rockets made three changes from the draw against Baroka, as shot-stopper Wensten van der Linde, Bevan Fransman and Khayelihle Shozi were all recalled while Matsatsantsa were unchanged.
The visitors had a dream start after Thamsanqa Gabuza sent a glancing header into the far post after a cross by Siyabonga Nhlapo after two minutes.
Gabuza quickly made it 2-0 for SuperSport and completed his brace with a close-range finish from a rebound inside the box after Van der Linde parried Ghampani Lungu's header onto the crossbar.
Galaxy's Mbulelo Wambi should have done better with ten minutes left of the first stanza after receiving a cut-back unmarked in the box but he sent his shot wide of the mark.
The Rockets were on the front foot after the break as Mlungisi Mbunjana came close to pulling a goal back ten minutes inside the second stanza with a thumping strike from outside the box that forced Ronwen Williams into a good save.
Galaxy were made to pay for not turning their dominance into goals after Bradley Grobler made it 3-0 in the last 12 minutes with a tap-in at the back post from Keenan Phillips, who had just come on.
Galaxy had a wonderful chance to get a consolation goal after they were awarded a penalty in the last minute for a handball by Bongani Khumalo, but Fransman's spot-kick was saved by Williams and Matsatsantsa kept a cleansheet.
