Swallows FC struck late in the second half to secure a point against Maritzburg United in DStv Premiership action on Saturday afternoon.
Kerr made no less than four changes in Wandisile Letlabika, Lehlogonolo Matlou, Mwape Musonda and Austin Muwowo with Rowan Human the Team of Choice’ single make-up.
Swallows hoped for a solid start ten minutes in from the characteristics of a certain Muwowo inside the area, but goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt parried effectively well.
The Team of Choice threw in a scare of their own inside minutes with a long ball from Alfred Ndengane to Bongokuhle Hlongwane, but Swallows goalkeeper Jody February collected.
There were opportunities aplenty that followed the two thereafter, but it was United that struck gold on the stroke of halftime when Hlongwane headed in from a corner by Human.
The Team of Choice returned from the halftime period with a substitution, as Riyaaz Ismail entered and Ryan Rae making way for the lanky individual.
Swallows struggled to get going minutes in the second period and the combination of Hlongwane and Human nearly resulted in a second, but Yagan Sasman intervened.
The Dube Birds did manage to come alive following an indifferent first spell and Tebogo Langerman’s free-kick forced a strong fist off Engelhardt.
As the match headed into the final minutes, the two sides kept plugging away with Hlongwane going over target from a shot on the turn in the area.
Swallows rallied on and drew level with two minutes to go as defender Letlabika came up with the goods to see the spoils shared.
