Baroka FC registered a vital 1-0 win over Golden Arrows in their bid to avoid the drop on Wednesday evening.
The Limpopo side came into the game under new guidance as Vincent Kobola was put in charge for the remainder of the season following Kgoloko Thobejane's demotion to the reserve side last week.
Arrows, meanwhile, were looking to make it back-to-back wins in the league after last week's triumph over Kaizer Chiefs.
Baroka handed a debut to new signing Jackson Mabokgwane while Phelelani Shozi and Thamsanqa Masiya came in at the expense of Denwin Farmer and Mphahele.

Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele then made their bright start count on the half-hour mark when Bonginkosi Makume fired home from the penalty spot following a foul by Conco.
A host of attacks from Abafana Besthende followed in the final minute of the half with Sibiya, Conco and then Gumede working the opposite defence repeatedly.
The visitors continued to launch threats just after halftime and could’ve been level from a ball by Saziso Magawana, but Bakgaga managed to clear their lines.
Baroka were eager to extend their lead a few minutes from the break, but Thabani Zuke cleared Sithole’s free-kick with Pule Mmodi in for Conco at the opposite end.
