DStv Premiership kick-off date revealed?


It would appear that the opening round of fixtures of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season has been leaked, with the proposed kick-off date revealed.

The 2021/22 DStv Premiership season appears set to get underway on Friday, 20 August with a mouthwatering clash between defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and last season's runners-up, AmaZulu.

That is according to a document purporting to be the new fixture list for the upcoming campaign which was leaked on Monday afternoon, which also indicates that the MTN quarter-final will take place the weekend before, on 14 August.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates appear set to start the season with a home clash against Stellenbosch FC on 21 August, while arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs face a tricky trip to Mpumalanga where they will face TS Galaxy a day later.

Newcomers Sekhukhune United will welcome Chippa United after having the club's top-flight status confirmed earlier on Monday.
