DStv Premiership club Sekhukhune United FC have finally landed their long-term target, Habib Mohammed.
The former Asante Kotoko centre-back has penned a three-year deal with Sekhukhune.
He joins from Dream FC, a club he only joined at the beginning of the current campaign.
According to sources, the player arrived in Mzansi last week accompanied by his agent. Sekhukhune landed the 24-year-old player's signature following successful talks with Dream FC.
Soccer publications from Ghana reported that the deal has now gone through, and from February the defender will be playing Premier Soccer League football.
According to sources, the fact that Mohammed's contract at Dream FC was expiring in June 2022 forced the club to quickly cash in on the u23 international.
Kickoff.com understands that negotiations between the two clubs started as far back as November 2021, but Dream FC was reluctant to sell to the South African side.
Mohammed who was at one stage on the books Ashanti Gold, made only six appearances for Dream FC this season.
Sekhukhune who are currently 8th positioned on the DStv Premiership standings with 25 points in 17 matches, have Edwin Gyimah, Sibusiso Mbonani, Justice Chabalala, Sello Motsepe, Tumelo Matona in the centre-back position.
