Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango has admitted Kaizer Chiefs' ruthless form has been giving his team stress this season.
The Ugandan goalie feels being nine points behind the Absa Premiership log leaders at this stage of the campaign has had a huge impact on their progress.
Onyango admits winning the Telkom Knockout trophy last Saturday in Durban has lifted the tension somewhat after staring up at Chiefs for several months.
"Yeah it’s another trophy, it takes a little bit of pressure off us because we've been under pressure the entire season," said Onyango.
"Being behind in the league by 10 points and of course chasing the CAF Champions League, being knocked out of the MTN8 semifinals, so yeah at least we have something now.
"Now we can focus on the league and the Champions League."
Sundowns' next match is against Polokwane City at Loftus Stadium on Saturday (18h00) before they travel to Algeria for a clash against USM Alger on 28 December.
