Date revealed when Sithebe free to join Chiefs

AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has revealed the exact date when wantaway midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe will be allowed to join Kaizer Chiefs.

The in-demand attacking midfielder grabbed the headlines in the January transfer window when he penned a pre-contract agreement with the Soweto giants.

AmaZulu were left angered by the player's actions and initially suspended the 29-year-old who has since failed to be named in the club's match-day squad since.

Usuthu are also left with two matches remaining to complete their 2021/22 DStv Premiership campaign with Sithebe likely to be allowed to leave on July 1, 2022.

"Nothing has changed with Sithebe," Zungu tells KickOff.

"Remember his contract will only end at the end of June, so we won't approach it differently."

Meanwhile, Chiefs are believed to have also snatched up Stellenbosch FC centre-back Zitha Kwinika as they continue to strengthen for next season.
