Chippa United coach Dan Malesela has revealed his plans for senior players Andile Mbenyane and Kurt Lentjies as they struggle for regular game-time.
Last year the longest-serving player in the team Mbenyane was close to leaving the club under former coach Lehlohonolo Seema and had been struggling to gets minutes along with Lentjies.
Mbenyane, however, started against SuperSport United on Wednesday night and rewarded the coach's faith by scoring the opening goal in a 2-2 DStv Premiership draw.
New coach Malesela has another plan for the two seniors players as be believes it is not fair to judge players based on age.
"My belief is that you don't judge players based on their age, otherwise we will start judging 16 and 19-year-olds," Malesela told the media.
"For as long as you are still delivering, talented and give me 100 percent, I will always use you. Basically it depends you as a player.
"Good players can show themselves in training, whatever you do in training will give me an indication that you are ready to play," he added.
"So if Kurt and Mbenyane can still give us something, we will play them. As a coach you need experienced players because some can also be coaches on the field, which is something we need."
