Dan Malesela keen on SuperSport job

Former Orlando Pirates captain Dan Malesela has joined the list of coaches eyeing the vacant head coach position at DStv Premiership side SuperSport United.

Malesela recently parted ways with Marumo Gallants who he guided to the Nedbank Cup finals.

SuperSport are also narrowing down its candidates to replace Kaitano Tembo with a host of renowned names linked to the position.

Former Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids is believed to be the frontrunner. While Shaun Bartlett and Clinton Larson are all among the coaches shortlisted.

"Dan Malesela's name is among the list," a source close to the situation reveals to KickOff.

"But Fadlu Davids remains the favourite to take over as head coach at SuperSport United next season.

Interim coach Andre Arendse has also raised his hand as a viable candidate and remains under consideration by the club's hierarchy.
