Chippa United are entertaining the possibility of winger Daine Klate becoming part of their technical team.
Klate, who is currently busy with his coaching badges, is expected to assume his new duties when United return for pre-season training before the end of this month.
The Chilli Boys are expected to announce Clinton Larsen as their coach on a permanent basis and the former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United player could possibly be on the bench as one of the technical team members.
"Daine Klate remains the most decorated player in the PSL and a great ambassador of football in Port Elizabeth," a source tells KickOff.com.
"Part of the development plan of Chippa United in the Nelson Mandela Bay is to give a player like Daine Klate a chance to develop his coaching career and help plough back to the community.
"He is expected to be part of the technical team in the new season with Clinton Larsen being the head coach."
The Chilli Boys are expected to unveil some new players in the coming days, with a goalkeeper part of their new additions.
