KickOff.com has gathered that former Bay United defender Duran Francis will take over as caretaker coach. Francis comes from ABC Motsepe League side Peacemakers.

"The club met with coach Clinton Larsen to discuss the team's performance," a source reveals.

"The chairman was still backing the coach but some members of the management could not see a way forward."

Chippa are 13th on the Absa Premiership log on three points, just one point above the relegation places.
