Clinton Larsen has revealed why he was fired at Chippa United.

The experienced PSL coach was shown the exit door after their 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates on Saturday, which stretched their winless start to five league matches.

Larsen, who not so long ago declared he was not afraid to be sacked because he is financially secure, now explains his departure.

"Yes it's true, I am no longer with Chippa United. It's due to the same old situation. It's the results," he tells KickOff.com.

Efforts to get hold of Chippa United boss Chippa Mpengesi proved futile.

Former Bay United defender Duran Francis will take over as caretaker coach, with Mbuyiselo Sambu staying on as his assistant. Francis comes from ABC Motsepe League side Peacemakers.
