Maritzburg United defender Clayton Daniels says the team have not thought about AmaZulu FC heading into the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday.
The veteran defender has played all the games since he joined the Team of Choice after parting ways with SuperSport United in December last year.
Daniels reveals that the relationship with Ernst Middendorp and how the club is run made it easy for him to reject other offers in favour of a move the KZN club.
"On the field yeah but off the field I'm still working on settling in, I'm happy for the guys we've picked up six points now and still long way to go," Daniels tells the club's media team.
"It a very good environment, the team is well run from the top to technical team, it good to see the certain level of professionalism within the club"
"I think it's one of the clubs that are professional and that was so easy for me to come here, I had some other offers but I decided to come here because the coach needed me and I know him."
The Team of Choice will be looking for a third straight DStv Premiership win on Sunday afternoon, but the Maritzburg defender says the focus has purely been on themselves.
"Everyday it another day to learn and be better as a team, so far this week it going well, we haven't thought about Usuthu or getting three consecutive wins, for us is to focus on ourselves and work hard, follow instructions then we can be success."
