Daniels training with new PSL side

Maritzburg United appear to be on the verge of signing former Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels.

The Cape Town-born defender, 36, is currently a free agent after parting ways with Matsatsantsa at the end of November.

The Team of Choice are desperate to move away from the relegation zone, where they are currently sitting bottom of the log without a win.

Daniels started training with Maritzburg on Saturday with the view to signing a deal.

"Maritzburg United are back at training. They started to train on Saturday, a day after Christmas," a source tells KickOff.com.

"Clayton Daniels is also training with the club with the view to signing soon."
