Clayton Daniels could make his debut for Maritzburg United on Saturday when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic at Harry Gwala Stadium.

United were the first team to return to training after the short Christmas break on Boxing Day in preparation for their league match against Siwelele.

After completing the signing of 36-year-old Daniels, Maritzburg are now reported to be eyeing the services of goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse from Mamelodi Sundowns.

"Clayton Daniels has signed with Maritzburg United and is expected to be registered with the PSL today," a source close to the club confirms to KickOff.com.

"The club is now looking for a goalkeeper to reinforce their goalkeeping department. Reyaad Pieterse is another goalkeeper that the club is intending to bring to Pietermaritzburg in the new year."

Maritzburg signed Zambian shot-stopper Sebastian Mwange during the off-season following the departure of Richard Ofori to Orlando Pirates.
