Chippa United are close to completing the signing of a Zimbabwean defender from FC Platinum.
Kelvin Moyo appears to have done enough to impress coach Clinton Larsen having had an unsuccessful trial with SuperSport United back in July 2018.
The central defender, who arrived at Chippa for trials with his twin brother Elvis, was one of the reason's behind the Port Elizabeth side's decision not to sign former Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite, according to Larsen.
"We've done a deal for a foreign centre-half, and we thought that we had enough cover in that department," Larsen told KickOff.com yesterday when asked about Mashamaite.
The Moyo brothers missed FC Platinum's match against Manica Diamonds last weekend due to their assessment.
According to sources at Chippa, Moyo has agreed to sign and an announcement is imminent.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates player Meshack Maphangule is believed to have completed his loan move to the Chilli Boys.
