KickOff.com can reveal that Chippa United are set to announce a new coach on Tuesday.
United boss Chippa Mpengesi appointed Duran Francis as caretaker coach last week after the club parted ways with Clinton Larsen.
Mpengesi at the time said: "It feels good when we are promoting our own local talent... I always believe in giving people opportunities... he has my full support. If he does well, he has a chance to continue until the end."
But the former Bay United coach has been relieved of his duties after a draw and a loss in his first two matches and has returned to coaching the club's ABC Motsepe League side.
According to a source close to Chippa United, a new coach is due to arrive in the country today to take over the coaching reins at the Port Elizabeth side.
"Chippa United have finalised a deal with new coach. He is an international coach. He is due to arrive in the country today," the source tells KickOff.com.
"The club will make announcement tomorrow."
The Chilli Boys are yet to win a single match since the start of the season and were beaten 1-0 by struggling Maritzburg United on Friday. They are second from bottom with just four points from seven matches.
Assistant coach Mbuyiselo Sambu will be in charge when the team takes on Bidvest Wits in East London on Tuesday night.
