Hunt recalls former striker to Chippa

Chippa United head coach Gavin Hunt has recalled striker Bienvenu Eva Nga to return to the squad after he was initially released last month.

Eva Nga was allowed to depart upon the expiry of his contract after only spending one season with the club.

The Cameroonian striker was linked with a move to Sekhukhune United soon after leaving Gqeberha as he aimed to remain in South African football.

However, KickOff.com has it on good authority that Hunt has since ordered Eva Nga to return back to Eastern Cape to join his team for pre-season training.

"He was released by the club soon after the play-offs but coach Gavin Hunt has since ordered the club to recall Eva Nga to the team," an insider at Chippa revealed.

"You must also remember that Gavin Hunt signed Eva Nga at Wits after spotted him in Mozambique during a CAF competition."

The Chilli Boys have already parted ways with Liberia international Anthony Laffor who looks set to continue his career at the age of 36.
