Chippa United have made a decision on the signing of experienced defender Thamsanqa Teyise.
The former AmaZulu defender, who also played for SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town, has been on trial with United for the past few weeks with the view to winning a contract with the club.
The 33-year-old will now have to continue searching for a new club after he failed to impress coach Norman Mapeza during his assessment in Port Elizabeth.
An official at the Chilli Boys has confirmed the club has decided against signing Teyise despite doing well during his trial.
"I think he did well but not enough to win a contract with the club. He is not signing with us," the official tells KickOff.com.
Chippa collected their first three points in the league this season when they beat AmaZulu in Durban on Saturday.
