KickOff.com can reveal that Chippa United are set to announce Lehlohonolo Seema as their new head coach in the coming days.
Chippa have been in the market for a new head coach following the release of Rhulani Mokwena, whose loan contract came to an end last month.
The Chilli Boys initially looked to try to lure former Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy to Port Elizabeth, but have since settled on someone closer to home.
Information reaching this website is that Bloemfontein Celtic co-coach Lehlohonolo Seema is headed to Nelson Mandela Bay to become head coach.
Seema, alonsgside John Maduka, had been in charge of Celtic since the departure of Steve Komphela, who left due to the club’s financial difficulties in January 2019.
The Free-State-based outfit has confirmed negotiations with a new financial backer but are yet to confirm a deal, and it is believed the issue of salary payments has continued to unsettle the technical staff.
Phunya Sele Sele have confirmed the resignation of Seema, though nothing has been said yet of Maduka, who has been touted to become the assistant coach at Chippa.
