Cardoso eyeing Kaizer Chiefs stay

Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso's future at Naturena remains uncertain with the club still yet to signal an indication to renew his stay at Naturena.

Cardoso’s contract with Amakhosi is set to expire at the end of next month.

The former Free State Stars defender is free is sign a pre-contract with any club with few teams in PSL already lining up for his signature.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys are expected to part ways with several players including Samir Nurkovic Leonardo Castro and Lazarus Kambole next month.

Cardoso has confirmed that was due to meet with Kaizer Chiefs in the next few days to discuss his future at the club next season.

“That I can’t answer that at moment," said Cardoso when asked about his future at Kaizer Chiefs.

“I still have to sit down and discuss everything and that will be coming in the next few days or whatever the case but I know that they are doing a big clean up and it's just all over the media.

"I am sure everybody has seen it for quite some time but u we will wait
and see.

"I have been here for quite some time and I am hoping to stay on," he added.

Cardoso was among local celebrities that were at the Lanseria International Airport to welcome the FIFA World Cup trophy in South Africa on Saturday.
