The former Amakhosi captain has scored four goals and nine assists in all competitions this season and will no doubt be looking to add to these numbers before the campaign comes to an end.

Mahlakgane confirmed his client has signed a new deal.

"The contract is finalised, Chiefs have offered 'Shabba' a two-year contract," Mahlakgane tells KickOff.com.

The experienced campaigner, who will go down as a Chiefs legend, will be hoping he can inspire Amakhosi to the league title in before his time with the club comes to an end.

Chiefs will take on Chippa United at FNB Stadium tomorrow afternoon (15h00), looking to get another victory after their last gasp win over Free State Stars on Wednesday night.

The goal defender Teenage Hadebe scored in stoppage time at Goble Park was set up by Tshabalala from a set piece.

The Chilli Boys will need to make sure they defend well against Shabba’s set pieces.
