Brilliant Khuzwayo is set to return to the field of play this coming weekend when Orlando Pirates take on Kaizer Chiefs.
Khuzwayo announced his retirement a few months ago due to a serious ankle injury but will return between the sticks at Soccer City on Saturday for a few minutes at half-time for an initiative organised by league sponsors Absa.
Tickets for the much-anticipated clash set for FNB Stadium are already sold out as Chiefs go in search of their first league win over Pirates since 2014.
According to a media release from the PSL, Khuzwayo will man the poles during the Woza Nazo shootout exercise taken by soccer fans during half-time.
"As one of the season’s most anticipated domestic football fixtures Absa Premiership sponsor Absa will be going the extra mile to bring the match to the fans and make sure there is football fever everywhere," reads the statement.
"Brilliant Khuzwayo, a man who has played for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, will return to a stadium that is all too familiar to him when he stands between the goal posts for the half-time Absa Premiership Woza Nazo shootout."
Khuzwayo, 29, revealed to KickOff.com recently that there was a chance of paralysis if he had continued with his playing career.
