Tembo reveals Daniels car accident

SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo has shed some light on the availability of star players Bradley Grobler and Clayton Daniels for the weekend game against Orlando Pirates.

The Tshwane side could be set to visit the Buccaneers at Orlando Stadium on Saturday without the two players.

According to Tembo, the club's medical staff is still their working their magic on the Bafana Bafana striker, while defender Daniels has already been ruled out of the much-anticipated encounter.

"I think Bradley had an ankle injury so he last played against Bloemfontein Celtic and since then he has not even trained, that's why he was pulled out of the Bafana Bafana squad," Tembo tells KickOff.com.

"So he only started light training you know, today. So we will assess him and see how it goes in the next two days."

Pressed further on if there is still a possibility of him playing against Pirates, Tembo is positive.

"Ya it depends on how he comes through in those two days because remember he hasn't even trained for the past two weeks, so it's a little bit difficult," he explains.

"But we will see how it goes you know. Probably tomorrow, that's when we are going to have a final assessment on him.

"Clayton is also out. He didn't play against Celtic because he was involved in a car accident. So it's not that he was injured, but it was just to manage him.

"So he's out at the moment. But it wasn't a serious accident, he was bumped from behind, so that's why he didn't travel with the team. Ya there's no injury there."
