KickOff.com has learnt that Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United are set to tussle for the services of striker Bongi Ntuli.
Ntuli has handed in a transfer request at AmaZulu with the intention to pursue a new challenge next season after scoring 13 league goals for the relegation strugglers.
According to information gathered by this publication, the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker is headed to Gauteng and is expected to join either Pirates or Matsatsantsa.
"Both Pirates and SuperSport are watching the situation with interest," the source tells KickOff.com.
"There is a possibility that Ntuli could join SuperSport United if Bradley Grobler joins Pirates."
Grobler has been a long-time target of The Buccaneers and has publicly declared his interest in a move to Soweto, with a move falling through last year.
However, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews also stated recently that he could now be ready to consider selling players such as Aubrey Modiba and possibly others due to the financial impact of Covid-19.
Both Ntuli and Grobler were among the top scorers in the 2019/20 Absa Prem season – see the final standings below
