Despite returning to the frame at AmaZulu, KickOff.com has learnt that striker Bongi Ntuli has not withdrawn his transfer request.
Ntuli handed in a transfer request to Usuthu management last year before new owner Sandile Zungu bought the club from the Sokhela family.
The KwaZulu-Natal-born striker then suffered a long-term injury before returning to the bench when Benni McCarthy's side hosted Maritzburg United in Durban last weekend.
According to a source close to AmaZulu, ambitious club chairman Zungu is ready to resolve Ntuli's problem with the previous management and is keen to keep him on a long-term contract.

"Ntuli has not withdrawn his transfer request, his case was delayed until the new management took over. Before the new owner could get settled he sustained a long-term injury," the source tells KickOff.com.
"But Mr Zungu has made mention that he wants to keep Ntuli for the long term and make him happy to stay at AmaZulu."
The 29-year-old, whose contract runs up until June 2022, has had two offers from Sweden and Egypt but neither could not meet the player's expectations.
