Zungu already has an offer from Portuguese Primeira Liga club Vitoria Guimaraes SC while other options have emerged in Germany and England.
“I am chilled. I am not under pressure. I am waiting to see and as I said my manager [Steve Kapeluschnik] is busy with that,” says Zungu upon being questioned about how he is handling the nerves around the prospect of moving abroad.
“It hasn’t been difficult for me to maintain focus because this thing of movement and stuff hasn’t really gotten to me because I am 100 percent focused on Sundowns.
“My agent is busy up and down, back and forth, going that side and coming back so I will only know probably by next week what’s what.
“There are a few teams that we have discussed just to see the style of play, the environment and the way forward about where the team is going and the like. We discussed it and he is going to come with an answer [soon] I am sure.
“It is not like he [Kapeluschnik] calls me every day because he understands that I still need to focus at Sundowns. My full focus remains here at Sundowns and I don’t feel any pressure even though he does call me at times. But then he understands that I really need to focus on my game,” he says.
Zungu then emphasises that it is vital that he gets to play wherever he ends up.
“Where I would want to go is where I will play. Where I would play and work for the team so wherever I go I will remain as humble as I am and work hard while trying my best to play,” he concludes.
