Two Bloemfontein Celtic players are said to have undergone their medicals with Orlando Pirates at Rand Stadium on Monday.
Bongani Sam and Kabelo Dlamini look to have completed their moves to the Buccaneers just before the start of pre-season, with the Soweto giants looking to bolster their side to finally beat Mamelodi Sundowns to the Absa Premiership title.
KickOff.com reported last week that the pair, as well as striker Tshegofatso Mabasa, were due to join Pirates from Celtic ahead of the start of the new campaign.
Pirates are on a mission to have a squad that can compete both domestically and in the CAF Champions League, set to start in August.
According to a source close to Pirates, Fortune Makaringe also underwent a medical on Monday. He and Siphesihle Ndlovu will be given more time to rest after competing in the promotion/relegation playoffs with Maritzburg United.
“However Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu are set to be given more extra days at home after participated in the promotional play-offs with Maritzburg United recently,” said the source.
“There are two foreign players coming in before the end of this week,” he added.
