‘Drogba’, who joined in the off-season from relegated AmaZulu, came on as a second half substitute in the 4-0 drubbing of Free State Stars and, even though he didn’t get on the scoresheet, he was happy to get the new chapter in his career off and running.
“Every player wants to play,” he tells Chiefs’ official website. “I was happy to be included in the 18-man squad and especially when the coach decided to bring me on in the second half.
“As a player you must always be ready. You never know, the coach can call you to action at any time. My first touches were okay. I didn’t want to put myself under pressure. I was just glad to be part of a winning team on the day.”
Ndulula will get another chance to get his first Chiefs goal when they take on Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow night.
