Sundowns linked with big-money move for Bolivian international

DStv Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns are being reportedly linked to a big-money move for Bolivian international Erwin Saavedra.

According to reports from Bolivia, Sundowns have already submitted a lucrative offer to Saavedra's representatives.

Sundowns are believed to have made their intentions clear in bringing in the talented midfielder during the January transfer window.

The versatile Saavedra is touted to be equally as good in a right midfield role as well as at right-back.

The Brazilians have been utilising Khuliso Mudau and Thapelo Morena on the right flank while being left thin in midfield after the injury to Lebohang Maboe.

Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino hails from the same Bolivar side as Saavedra before joining the Brazilians back in 2017.

Sirino's future at Chloorkop remains uncertain after reportedly having fallen out of favour with the new technical team at Sundowns.
