Black Leopards and Kaizer Chiefs have offered some strange reasons as to why Andriamirado Andrianarimanana's loan deal from Kaizer Chiefs has not yet been completed.
Last week the Madagascar international was announced as the club's new player on their official Twitter page only for general manager 'Chief' Thidiela to later reveal that the deal was not yet concluded.
But now it seems the club's announcement of Dax's arrival before the deal was done did not go down well with the Amakhosi hierarchy.
"I'm hoping you know what happened because you guys, the media guys, you released the story fast," Leopards manager Elijah Mulaudzi tells KickOff.com.
"The negotiations are still going on but in one, two, three days maybe you will hear as per the agreement because we agreed with the player, we agreed with Kaizer Chiefs. I don't know when are they going to finish with him but if they finish we'll let you know in time.
"I think it's you guys who released the story before we finalised our thing. So if it wasn't that, he should have been here... but we are waiting for Chiefs to respond as we agreed. As per the agreement they will respond in a few days. Next week he can start joining the rest of the team this side."
Asked for the latest on the matter, Kaizer Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa also appeared to put the blame on the media.
"Ah there's no latest," he said. "He's here with us, it's my latest, leader."
Pressed further on whether the player was still going to leave the club, he elaborated.
"Leaving from where, leader? I don't know that, you've published your story with Leopards, isn't it so? Eh Leopards have clarified the matter, I don't speak about Black Leopards I only talk about Kaizer Chiefs, leader...
"Your Kick Off has reported and spoken to Leopards, and Leopards told your Kick Off that they made a mistake so I don't know why you are asking us now. Dax is here, he is training, that's it. Dax is a Kaizer Chiefs player."
