Leopards banking on Thohoyandou Stadium

At the beginning of the month, PSL official Ronnie Schloss said the venue would need certain upgrades before it is cleared to host topflight football.

Thidiela says the club is close to meeting the requirements.

"The only thing that was outstanding was the turnstiles," Thidiela said.

"The entrances, that was the only thing. No doubt, we will be using it as our home."

KickOff.com today asked Schloss if Leopards have registered the ground as their home base for the new season.

"Not yet," Schloss replied. "It's on the fixture list but it has not been approved yet. We put it tentatively on the basis that it will be approved.

"They will just change the venue [if it doesn't get approved], they will go somewhere else ja.

"They've got the choice, Polokwane, Giyani ... Giyani is fine."
