Bidvest Wits CEO Jose Ferreira refused to commit himself when asked about out-of-favour striker Thobani Mncwango's future at the club.
Mncwango, who joined the Clever Boys in January 2018, has made just five appearances in all competitions so far.
It seems Wits could be looking to offload the player during the transfer window after securing the signature of Ajax Cape Town striker Prince Nxumalo in January. They will also be welcoming back Mxolisi Macuphu from his loan spell at SuperSport United.
"Thobani is part of the squad for now," Ferreira told KickOff.com. "Ja look we'll see, we'll see now when we restart. We are restarting on the 22nd of June."
Ferreira was asked if they were impressed by the contribution the player has made to the team since he arrived in Braamfontein from Polokwane City.
"No look I mean he's part of the squad but he hasn't played... but let's see what happens on the 22nd," he said.
The 31-year-old will not be short of offers and it is believed last season's strugglers Maritzburg United are very keen to have him on board.
