PSL to hand out more six-month bans?

Premiership

Bidvest Wits midfielder Sameegh Doutie and some of AmaZulu's club officials could be charged by the PSL for unsporting behaviour.

Doutie and his teammate Ricardo Goss were allegedly seen pushing the referee during Wits' 2-0 Absa Premiership defeat to Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Friday.

The PSL last year handed Citizens midfielder Mpho Makola one of the heaviest sentences in recent times before it was reduced on appeal to SAFA.

Initially Makola was banned for six months before it was reduced to four games.

Meanwhile, ugly scenes of violence were witnessed at Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday as police were called in to escort match officials after the game between Maritzburg United and Usuthu.

Club officials were also seen charging towards the match officials.

PSL prosecutor Nande Becker has confirmed both incidents and is only waiting for the referee's reports of both games before he prepares the charge sheets.

"I am aware of both incidents. I am waiting for reports from all concerned," Becker confirms to KickOff.com.
