Monare not getting carried away

The Clever Boys have recently found some form, winning three matches in 2018 while the other one ended in a draw. The Absa Premiership champions walloped SuperSport United 4-1 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night, coming from a goal down to deliver one of their finest performances this season.

The victory moved them up to 12th position, which gives them a good chance of finishing in the top eight if they continue winning their matches. But the Secunda-born midfielder believes it's too early to say the Braamfontein side is back to winning ways.

"We are almost [back to winning ways]. The word back means you are where you want to be," Monare told

"We won a couple of games but we still have a lot of work to do, like winning games. We just wanna win games, that's all I can tell you."

The Clever Boys next face Kaizer Chiefs at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday (18h00).

These two sides have had some interesting clashes in the past and this weekend’s encounter promises to produce top quality action, as both teams have something to fight for. And if Wits’ performance against Matsatsantsa is anything to go by, then Gavin Hunt’s men are going to give title hopefuls Amakhosi a tough time in the compact venue.
