Hunt reaches decision on Khumalo

Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt has revealed whether he will be signing former Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town left-back Sibusiso Khumalo.

Khumalo, who also played for the likes of SuperSport United, Moroka Swallows and Mamelodi Sundowns, has been under assessment at the Braamfontein-based outfit since last month.

The Clever Boys already have Bafana Bafana defender Sifiso Hlanti in that position, who recently marked top striker Mohammed Salah out of the game against Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 29-year-old Khumalo managed only six appearances for Ajax in the National First Division last season.

"No we haven't decided anything, we can't sign him," Hunt tells KickOff.com.

"No we are not signing him. We've got people in his position. He is not there [at Wits training] anymore."

Hunt also confirmed that forgotten striker Thobani Mncwango is still very much part of the squad.

"Nothing is happening with him, he is still with the team," he adds.
